Trainees of the month October

This month we do not have one, not two but three trainees of the month! Which are Sander Gielen, Lianne Olthof and Jonathan Uijttenbroek. All three have been chosen because they (together with the other interns and trainees) are a very strong team with which we are extremely satisfied. Let's introduce them:

Sander: My name is Sander Gielen. I'm 19 years old and I live in Meijel. I've been into animals my whole life and I have been working with birds of prey since I was 12 years old. Because of this passion for animals I started the education called Animal Management.

Lianne: My name is Lianne and I'm from the beautiful city of Deventer. I follow the education Animal Care and in my free time I like to train with my dog.

Jonathan: I'm Jonathan and I'm from Nunspeet. I follow the education Animal Management at the college 'Groenhorst Barneveld'. My hobbies are skating, swimming and playing the bassguitar.

How did you end up at Dogcentre Holland?

Sander: My education required me to run an internship at either a dog or cat-related company. That's how I came here.

Lianne: Via a teacher at my school.

Jonathan: Thomas, a friend, told me about this place. He had worked here before.

What do you like the most about your work at Dogcentre?

Sander: What I like the most is the direct contact you have with the animals. It's also pleasant to work in a relatively small team of which you know everyone and see eachother daily.

Lianne: The working with and training of the dogs.

Jonathan: The detection-work with the dogs and the great colleagues.

Were you into dogs before you came here?

Sander: I've always had a pet dog at home, but I never had the ambition to work with them when I was older. This was until I started my internship here.

Lianne: Yes, I have my own dog which I train aswell.

Jonathan: Not these kind of dogs. We have a small dog at home though.

What goals would you like to reach here in the future?

Sander: I hope I can keep expanding myself here and further develop my skills. For example in the training of the dogs, the interaction with customers and the supporting of interns. I even hope to (if possible) return here after my internship and/or education.

Lianne: That I can train the dogs independently.

Jonathan: Independently training of the dogs.
